This is part of a group of reports related to time zones.

Because a user cannot specify the local time zone, then a global community of users experiences a lot of confusion about online Event scheduling.

One step toward fixing this issue is for each user to specify a time zone in their profile.

That would mean adding an item to the Edit Profile page for the Local Time Zone.

I've attached a screen snapshot of the Edit Profile page.
Hi there,

Correct me if I am wrong, in simple words, you mean that users have option to set their own timezone yes?
If yes, you actually can add timezone field in your user workflow backend>custom fields>workflows as example shown here: https://take.ms/7zyxk

That is great!
Would that have an effect on the time that they see of an event?
If an event has a specific time for PST would a user see it changed according to their own time zone?

Hi,
I have added the field to the user as you showed. However, it doesn't matter what timezone the user is, and the events are showing at the same time regardless of the user timezone settings.
Is there anything else I need to do to get this to work?

I believe the issue that you mention now is correlated with the event timezone as per this ticket https://stackideas.com/forums/times-zones-events-created-in-user-s-local-time-zone
Perhaps, we can discuss the issue in that ticket so that, we do not confuse

Thanks for your cooperation and understanding
