Hi guys,

Great support so far as we build towards our release.

We would like to see some demos of the different themes (dark, elegant, frosty etc) if possible. We can't find this around the site and we are not really seeing much difference when we change the theme from the backend.

Also it would be great to have some guidance on making minor tweaks to themes so that we can incorporate the colouring etc of our wider theme and better integrate the easysocial component with the rest of the site.

looking forward to your reply.

Paula
Hello Paula,

Hm, I am not too sure what documentation you are looking for here because changing a theme is simply clicking on the "star" icon in your themes listing to make it the default theme and automatically the layout would switch to the theme.

You can actually try the theme switcher on the right column to see the changes on our demo, http://easysocial.stackideas.com/

Hi Paula,

Each of the themes have their own feels with varies of toolbar structures and minimalist layout as customer can customize it as their prefer. It is a great start to customize your own layout of social network, here I'm giving you some easy css customization steps
1. Inspect the element that you want to customize
2. Play around with the css as it will not effect your site where it will not save the code http://screencast.com/t/IezYOpMLwC
then you're ready to apply it using template override.
Here the documentation : Template Override

Hope this helps

Hi Fadhli,

Thanks for your reply but surely there must be more documentation than that. Its only half a page?

Where can I see some screenshots of the different built in themes please?

You can go to backend of EasySocial and then change the theme and if you are on EasySocial page you just refresh it to see the diffent outcome..

Is there really no documentation on how the themes look? No screenshots at all?

The main reason I ask is because I can hardly see any difference when I switch between themes. Im not even sure I'm seeing any difference at all.

I just want to see how they should look so I know what to look for.

Surely when it comes to theming, a screenshot is the starting point?

Im not asking for documentation about how to do it. Im asking for documentation about what the different themes look like. I don't see much difference between them when I switch themes. Are there no screenshots anywhere showing how the different themes look?

We don't currently have a documentation for this yet, but I will get our documentation person to create one. Anyhow, this is how the theme looks like,

Thanks Mark, I have looked at it now with things working better. I need to ask how to change some colours on a theme but I guess Id be better starting a new thread for that?

thanks again,

Paula
