When we sign up a new user a popup appears that says "The subscription is restricted to logged in users"

To test sign up for a free account.

What we hope for is that when people enter their info and press submit, they are logged in and ready to go.

Please let me know what the issue is so i can implement it on the live site

It look like that pop up message generated from Acymailing, I think you hitting this is because you didn't set the mailing list from the Payplans Acymailing app, you can check my screenshot here : https://take.ms/bJDm9

Can you try configure this and see whether still encounter this error during checkout process?

Thanks-- that fixed me almost 100%

one last thing remains. Upon signup the wrong message is showing up. It tells the user that they need to check email to verify their account. All my settings have this turned off. And the user can login without any verification-- so the message is wrong. I attached a screenshot

How can I fix this?

By the way, you can override this following language constant on your site backend > extension > language > override > select your site language > click NEW > https://take.ms/kTFmE


COM_PP_THANK_YOU_NOTE="We have sent your subscription confirmation details to your registered e-mail. As soon as we receive the confirmation, the order status would be marked as completed."

COM_PP_ACTIVATE_ACCOUNT_NOTE="Since you have registered for a new account and have not activated your account yet, you will be able to login to the site after activating your account to manage your orders"
