Hello! So my company's tech blog has been doing well for itself lately - or so we thought!! Some entries have as many as 25,000 hits, but we found this a bit odd as no one was leaving comments or engaging us over social media, and the entries weren't turning up under relevant search terms either. So we checked google analytics, and sadly we've only had visitors into the double digits. So why is the counter so inflated? Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea of why this might be happening? Any insight would be greatly appreciated
I have this exact same issue, I am getting thousands of hits, even when i enable trackbacks, but google analytics shows very few hits. How do I get an accurate hits count?

Unfortunately thats exactly the response I got - do the work myself to something I've clearly reported.
this module clearly does not report correctly.

No nothing ideal. I moved from Wordpress and I am considering moving back. However, because I provide marketing automation software I will be posting most articles with links via calls to action to landing pages where I can track the click throughs and conversions, using LAMP-360 marketing software.

As this will also post articles in the first place to Wordpress, I'll probably go that route again for the blog.

As I'm also in an old version of Joomla, I'll probably also revamp the whole web site into a later version of Joomla or Wordpress or another CMS.'
