Hello Support

Is there a way to change the editor for front end bloggers only. Possible even on a case sensitive basis. i.e. one type of editor for one and another for the other! In the Joomla plugin managerI have JCE editor active but it is too complex for some bloggers taste! I have JCE instlalled and it just has sooo many buttons! Please see screen shot!

thanks

Paul
Hello Paul,

I believe you can customize JCE's buttons for specific user groups but EasyBlog will actually respect what editor that is set for the current user. So if the user decides to use JCE, then it would load up JCE.

Hi mark

this is what JCE are saying. Need to test...

In the Editor Profiles list, select the "Default" profile and click the Copy button.]

Click on the new "Copy of Default" profile to edit it, then in the Setup tab :

1. Give the profile a new name.
2. Set the Ordering to "0 Order First"
3. Set Enabled to Yes.
4. In the User Group list, select the user group to assign to the profile.
5. In the Features & Layout tab, remove unwanted buttons from the Current Editor Layout by dragging them into the "Available Buttons & Toolbars" area.
6. Make any other changes to Editor and Plugin Parameters as desired.
7. Click Save.

Hello Paul,

Yes, that is what Mark mentioned in the previous post. In JCE, you can assign profile to different user group. I've tested it and it is worked. You might want to give it a try.
