G'day,
I tried to insert a youtube-video into your demo-blog and it doesn't appear in the blog...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEnXzQebio8

I've tried both version of input: General and Embeded...

Isn't it possible?

Can i also insert my videos located on the same server where the blog is running?
Hello Heinz,

To be honest, I cannot really tell you what is the issue here without first checking on your site. I would need the back end and FTP access to look into this.

By the way, it looks like your subscription has expired and in order for you to continue requesting for support, you will need an active subscription. If you have already renewed, please let us know so that we can correct this for your account.

Thank you for understanding.

G'day Mark,

before I'll renew my subscription and get the new version for me its very important that it's possible and easy to add Videosclips and Pictures on my Blogsite.

I tried on !!! your demo blog !!! if its possible to insert a youtube video and a picture from another site, but that wasn't possible.

So, that's the only reason why i posted this, I thought I don't need to renew if I first use your Demo-Blog.

But, OK, if so then sorry for my "Ticket"

kind regards.

Hello Heinz,

It's actually possible to embed or insert a youtube block (if you use the new composer). The renewal is not about making the software work It's about getting someone to check on your site if there are any issues on the site.

What you have paid for is a service and the rights to own the software because EasyBlog is released as GPL v2. You own the codes and the code will work regardless if your subscription expires or not.

When your subscription expires, you can opt to NOT RENEW and the software will work. If it is not functioning, there are 2 possible reasons:

1. There is a conflict going on
2. Your software is outdated (technology changes, so as Joomla). As Joomla releases new versions, someone has to maintain the codes and this is where your renewal comes in To contribute as a community to a team that you think is fit to manage the codes.

Hope this clarifies a little more about what you have actually paid for and what you will be paying for when you renew.

G'day Mark,

thx. for explantation.

But, why does this not work on your demo blog?
That's for me the most important question.

Before i haven't seen it running i don't start a new project with all the bunch of problems and work.

kind regards.

Hello Heinz,

What are you trying to embed? Embedding youtube videos will work and if it doesn't, then it is a bug and it's our responsibility to fix them

If you are on the latest version and have an active subscription but unable to embed Youtube videos, then provide us with the login credentials and we'll test this.

I just tested this on our demo site, and it works perfectly fine, http://easyblog.stackideas.com/testing-youtube

In case you don't see it, here's a screen shot of it, http://take.ms/pvZfG
