Hi!

Is there a quick hack to the terms custom field to handle HTML? Thanks for adding the feature that makes it a dialog box but the size of the dialog box you can't expect people to read the entire Terms & Condition in that small window.

Unfortunately, the textarea field does not support HTML so I can't link to Terms article. Is there a quick hack to this field?

Thanks,

Jackson
Thanks for the heads up on this Jackson, we'll see what we can do in the future

Hi,

You can try changing the html in /media/com_easysocial/apps/fields/user/terms/themes/default/dialog.terms.php. Change the textarea tag to either div or p.

Thanks Jason

Is there a reason why Terms by default does not support HTML?

Thanks,

Jackson

Hello Jackson,

The terms and conditions is displayed in a "textarea", not really sure how HTML would work?

Hi Mark,

Well, depending on how website define Terms and conditions in my opinion it can be a long Article and can have links. If one website admin thinks that Terms & Conditions is just a one sentence document then the current Terms textarea field without HTML support is sufficient. Please checkout out my Attachment above. Since the Terms field was not designed to contain a long article - esthetically it would look horrible if I paste a 10-20 paragraphs of text in the textarea. So, I entered one sentence text but in the sentence I'd like users to be able to click on Terms and Conditions article and Privacy Statement article for further reading if they choose to. But Terms custom field does not allow HTML, I mean it will display my HTML tag as text if I enter a link tag.

I hope I am making sense.

Please look at FB create account Terms.

Thanks,

Jackson
