Hi,

I am creating templates for EasyBlog as follows:

1. Click on Templates in the backend administrator
2. Add blocks to my templates (basically 3 columns, with 3 headers and 3 images and 3 audio files. 3. Click Save template and give it a tile, plus select save into global.
4. After getting the message Template successfully saved, I close the composer
5. Then I click on either Post - New or open the Templates again and click on my newly created template. It's emplty - nothing has saved other than the new template name.

I have done the same thing 4 times now and each time it hasn't saved the blocks I have added. What am I missing here?

Mel
Hey Mel,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a public holiday for us here.

That was strange, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

Hi Arlex,

it would appear it was Akeeba's Admin Tools causing the problem, I unistalled it then tried creating a new template and then saving it and it worked.

I have to use Akeeba Admin though, so is there a way of allowing the templates to be saved with Admin Tools installed?

Thanks for updating us on this Mel. Hm, to be honest we are not really sure why is Admin Tools preventing these ajax requests. Perhaps if you could contact the admintools guys and see what is causing these failsafe warnings and add exception to it?

Hi Christian,

in my case it was a permissions error. I have Akeeba Backup and my original solution was to uninstall the program, then create and save my template, then re-install it gain.

I think it just needs the folder permissions changed so you can save changes.
