Hello StackIdeas staffs,

I'm now constructing a website using Easysocial, Payplans, and rockettheme templates.
I have an issue I can't solve by myself now.
It is a little bit complicated. I'm not sure I can explain the issue in my English clearly but I try to do it.

I have 4 subsites in my website with different templates and menus using rockettheme gantry5.
subsite A-en (en-GB) ---This is the site for people with easysocial profile type p-A-en (with Joomla user Group usr-A-en)
subsite A-jp (ja-JP) ---This is the site for people with easysocial profile type p-A-jp (with Joomla user Group usr-A-jp)
subsite B-en (en-GB) ---This is the site for people with easysocial profile type p-B-en (with Joomla user Group usr-B-en)
subsite B-jp (ja-JP) ---This is the site for people with easysocial profile type p-B-jp (with Joomla user Group usr-B-jp)

I'd like to make the users to use the website in one template and menu not redirecting to other ones.
I made easysocial login menu items for each menu, A-en-login, A-jp-login, B-en-login, and B-jp-login.
I then made a test user for A-en and logged in from the menu A-en-login.
At the time, the user is redirected to the subsite B-en.

I set the menu template style for A-en-login to the template of A-en.
I also set the login redirection of Easysocial->Settings->Users->Authentication to "stay on the same page".

How do I set the menus to make the users to their own area?
Please give me a hint if you have some.

Best,
Kenzo
Hey Kenzo,
Unfortunately I am not able to provide any solid advice as there is not enough information here. Can you tell us what are the differences between A-members and B-members, like what kind of permissions do they have in regards to EasySocial.
Also, what content is in subsite A, subsite B plus what is the difference in content/permission in these two subsites.

Hi Kenzo,
Instead of using EasySocial's login menu item, perhaps you can try using Joomla's login menu item instead(http://take.ms/pHHl8) because you are able to configure the login redirection for this menu item(http://take.ms/g0466).

Hi Raymond,

Thank you very much for your advice!
It is a very simple way and works perfectly once user accounts are made.

I however have another issue which may be related to the previous issue now.
I set an Easysocial registration menu item for each menu assigning each profile type.
I assigned different templates in the menu items.

On the front-end, users are redirected to A-en from B-en when they click the registration menu item.
In this case, I can't use the same way as the login form because I have to assign profile types to the registration menu items.
In easysocial registration menu item, we can assign a profile type, but we can't in the joomla original one.

Do you have any advice?

Best,
Kenzo

Hey Kenzo,
In that case, perhaps you can try turning off the registration link in the Joomla login menu item? Head to Joomla users page then click on the settings button on the top right. In there, disable new user registration option(http://take.ms/4TQQQ). Once the Don't have an account link is gone, users will be forced to click on the registration menu item(http://take.ms/P2JTvy) which directs them to the EasySocial registration page for the respective profile type that is set in that menu item.

Hi Raymond,

Thank you very much for your kind support.
I managed to set for users to make their accounts and login our page on the different templates.

I then tested to use Easysocial.
I made a test user and logged in the page as the test user.
I then clicked the tool bar I was redirected to the other template, B->A.
The inverse did not happen.
I attach two figures.

Is there any way to escape it?
I'm very sorry for bothering you so much.

Best,
Kenzo

Hey Kenzo,
I took some time to look at and really understand your objective and I realize that you probably would not be able to achieve this with the current setup. The reason is because Joomla is not able to decide which menu item to use when you click on a link in EasySocial. In many instances you will encounter the issue as you described above where the link directs you to other menu items.

Hi Raymond,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I then consider to add a new menu which is used in common among A-members and B-members to use easysocial.
In subsite A-en, the information only for A-members is shown and in subsite B-en, the information only for B-members is shown.
In subsite C-en, Easysocial is used in common.
In this setting, I may construct a website I need with three menus in English.

If you find better idea later, please teach me it.

Thank you very much for your help!

Best,
Kenzo

Hi Raymond,

Thank you very much for your comment.
Since I understand what happens now especially "The reason is because Joomla is not able to decide which menu item to use when you click on a link in EasySocial.", I try to construct my site according to the rule by myself first.

If I need your help again, I will ask you in a different ticket by focusing the issue more clearly.

Thank you very much for your help.

Best,
Kenzo
