We migrated our Joomla Install to 3.5 a while back and ever since we have had issues with EasyBlog.

The back loads fine with no errors and the front does load but it breaks the template.

Also we have tried to get the EasyBlog - Showcase Module to display on the following page:

http://dev.suzukiprg.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=featured&Itemid=336

But it will not show up. We have tested this module position by assigning another module to it (showcase a) and the test module works but assigning the Easy Blog module we don't see anything.
Hey Troy,

It seems like some of the HTML code from this blog post "The Million Dollar Lesson" causing this issue, I've removed these code, it should work fine now.

Also we have tried to get the EasyBlog - Showcase Module to display on the following page:

Something is odd, can you assign your FTP user account can access your site Joomla root folder? Because when the FTP login success, it didn't point me to your Joomla root folder, it just show empty file.

Hi Troy Thomas,

I have to delete your previous post where the credential is view-able by other as this is not a private post. Please aware to put your information in the Site Details so only our support staff can view it.

I have inspected that the EasyBlog showcase module did not appeared because you have choose a category where there is no post under it. I have change to another category and the module shows perfectly .

Thanks for the reply.

Ive been out of town and unable to respond so sorry for delay.

1. You guys should really gray out the Joomla credential fields unless the PRIVATE box is selected. Seems like that simple change would eliminate the confusion of when its safe to add those details.

2. I checked the Showcase Module and yes it works. However, I cant seem to figure out how to show featured blogs from multiple categories, the old version allowed any categories you wanted and this new version seems more limited as there is only 1 field for category. This limitation really makes it useless to me since i only want to highlight featured posts from all categories.

3. Another thing im noticing is the Calendar Module breaks the auto height of the content area. Normally on page load as you know Joomla has scripts that calculate the size of the content area and sidebar to make them match. With the Calendar enabled however this size is calculated while the calendar is using its ajax call and when its done the calendar module expands. This is happening AFTER the page loads thus making the content area shorter than the sidebar due to the expanding of the Calendar Module

Thanks

Hi Troy Thomas,

Thanks for the heads up. Kindly please refer my response to your inquiries below:
1. You guys should really gray out the Joomla credential fields unless the PRIVATE box is selected. Seems like that simple change would eliminate the confusion of when its safe to add those details.

-> That was a nice suggestion you get there. I'll extends this suggestion to our developers

-> Actually in this current EasyBlog you still can include the Features post not according to the category by let the category to be empty:
1. Click Extension>Modules>EasyBlog - Showcase Module>Module>Click on the 'x' button>Select Showcase source to Featured Post only
Please refer this screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/H1oMTYvJp4

-> Can you give the link of the page that are referring this to? I've tried to access your back end and it seems not working? Can you please advise?
