Hi SI Team

I posted about this before:

http://stackideas.com/forums/understanding-team-blogs-groups

But some how the thread got lost in the forum!

So here it goes again…

First off when I go here:

http://finalbug.net/blog/teamblog

I am not sure why I do not see the Blog straight away!

Sure I can click on the title to get to it but this seems strange.
Or I can click on all posts to get to it.
Is this normal?

Clicking both Authors & View all members throws an empty box with an Exlpenation mark!

In the back end when I go to the post I see the Team Blog “Site Contributors “4 times!?!

Also I would like to see the Blog Post in question

i.e: http://finalbug.net/blog/entry/490-all-you-need-to-make-your-movie-for-free-01

On the front page of the Blog list here:

http://finalbug.net/blog

The Blog post is set to Front Page & Post Visability is set to Every One.

In the Team Blog Settings Access is set to Everyone.
The same members are showing up multiple times.
And User Groups are set to Public

thanks

Paul
Hey Paul,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply, please find your answer in queries below :

Hmm, that was strange is because I still can access this post thread today -> http://stackideas.com/forums/understanding-team-blogs-groups

Yes, that is normal, if you click on this categories listing page ( http://finalbug.net/blog/categories ), it will list all the categories on this page, same as teamblog, tag and author page.

Clicking both Authors & View all members throws an empty box with an Exlpenation mark!

May i know how to reproduce this? Because when I open this page http://finalbug.net/blog/blogger , I can't see `View all members` button there, am i missing something here?

In the back end when I go to the post I see the Team Blog “Site Contributors “4 times!?!

I've checked in your site, it seems like you added multiple same user on the teamblog section, after remove those duplicate user, then it display properly now.

Also I would like to see the Blog Post in question

I have a little bit lost here, can you provide us more elaborate more details regarding this?

Sorry about the misunderstanding that was me trying to be nice and not say.
Why the hell are you guys not answering my questions.

So here we go step for step:

Yes, that is normal, if you click on this categories listing page ( http://finalbug.net/blog/categories ), it will list all the categories on this page, same as teamblog, tag and author page.

Ok got it. Thanks.

Clicking both Authors & View all members throws an empty box with an Explanation mark!

Please see the first screen shot above.

Great sorry about that.

Maybe I should quote Mark here:
From the post: http://stackideas.com//forums/understanding-team-blogs-groups

If the blog post is posted into a team blog, it can also display on the front page blog listing provided that the team blog access is made public. Unfortunately you can't give credits to specific authors on a blog post currently.

I will try this in my own words. I would like to:

a) Post a team Blog
b) Have this turn up on the front page/list view of the standard Site Blog
c) Ideally I would also like to post a team blog in a group but I am guessing this is asking too much.

I hope this is clearer now

thanks in advance

It seems like that was bug, I've already help you fix it, can you give it a try now?

I have help you enabled this option from your backend `Include Posts From Team Blogs In Frontpage`, it should display teamblog post in your front listing now.
Unfortunately that was not possible to post a teamblog in Easyblog group.

Hey Arlex

That is great I obviously missed that setting. Thanks so much.
And thanks for fixing the bug(s).
There is still something that I am noticing though.
In the back end in the Team Blog section there are 3 members.
In the front end there are 8.
Basically if you click on any member who is not listed in the back end you get a 404 error.
Which I guess in a way makes sense as they never posted and should not be showing in the front end.

Please see the screen shots below

thanks

Hey Paul,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. It is showing 8 on the front end because you have selected the "Public" group as you can see here, http://screencast.com/t/ju6bflDNvWxY . I have de-selected it and it's showing 3 now

What that settings simply means is that all public users has access to compose blog post in this team :x
