Hello,

It seems with the upgrade that I just noticed that no tags are being attached to the posts -, once they get posted. These are for RSS feed posts.

In fact all tags that were attached to posts prior to the upgrade have been stripped from those posts. The only way to have these tags back on the posts is that I have to go into each post individually and update each post. Now I have over 25,000 posts and that will take a long time.

Is there a faster way to get all these tags back on these posts?

Regards,
Rob
Hey Rob,

Perhaps you can provide us with your following details at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?

- Joomla backend
- FTP access
- PHPMYADMIN access
- Which blog post not showing tag on listing page.

Hi Arlex,

It seems the tags are not being attached to the RSS Feeds that are being fed to my website.

But if I create a blog post or if I click the Test Import button from an RSS feed in the Feed Importer - the tags get posted with the blog article. And it use to be able to do this before the update.

Thanks for your reply

Regards,
Rob

We actually do not have import tag into Easyblog through the feed importer, perhaps you can share a RSS feed link to us so we can test on older version of Easyblog regarding this?

Hello Arlex,

Here is a sample feed:

http://www.pcworld.com/category/laptop-computers/index.rss

And if you look at the Techlick (Website) you will see a whole bunch of posts that do not have tags attached to the post but some that I have had to press the Test Import button and are manually imported do have tags:

Post with tags

Thank you very much for your reply and time.

Regards,
Rob

You're welcome Rob

You mean this "Post with tags" you manually add those tag into that imported post?

If yes, I already tested on this in my locally, actually that is default behaviour, it will not import tag during the feed importer even older version of Easyblog 5.x.

If you view on this RSS feed page, the feed provider also didn't show any tag on the RSS feed page, you can check my attached screenshot below, mean that is not possible to import those tag into Easyblog.

Even you set "import full content", the system also unable to import these tag as well is because there do not have a specific data attribute to mention these value consider is tag, unless something come out a standard every article which contain tag, you have to put the same data attribute from the tag area under article HTML code in the future. (screenshot : http://take.ms/AJdjz)

Different article page also have their own different HTML code to populate tag on the page.
