Hello,

We have an issue where there are lots of discussions in the groups and its becoming very unorganised. Is it possible to use tags ?
Hey Piret,

I am sorry but we don't currently have tags in the discussions of the groups.

Is this a planned feature ? We have a issue right now where there is a large volume of posts and its becoming extremely un manageable. And now in some groups we expect to have discussions in multiple languages .. So we were hoping to use tags to tag them with language

Hey Piret,

Having tags is a really tricky thing to add because we already have hashtags But I have to agree that the discussions within EasySocial is pretty limited in that sense and this is why we have a group discussion app for EasyDiscuss which adds full fledge discussions for groups.

Hello Mark,

We tried to switch to using EasyDiscuss but the movement between the Group Discuss and EasySocial groups is not smooth. The experience needs to be made such that the entire EasyDiscuss function is available within groups.. Right now for some actions, it jumps to the full EasyDiscuss view and thats extremely confusing for the end user..

Hey Piret,

We can't embed all the tools on the EasySocial view mainly because it would be much more complicated as it contains too many controls.

Hello Mark,

What would be good if you can do a UX review for the workflow when using ED based group Discussions .. Its super confusing for end users rendering it pretty useless

We have seen a lot of support request coming due to that.. Post which we decided to switch back to using normal discussions

Hi Mark, hi Piret

I sometimes wonder if a search option in the standard group discussion App would help make things more manageable.
i.e. search to see if something has already been discussed.

Maybe a book mark feature?
i.e. users could have some way to bookmark important discussions.

And last but by no means least a consistent editor for the first post in a discussion and all following replies.

And here is a mad idea how about a “My Discussions” link in the discussion App?
i.e. take me to “My Discussions”

I also bought the extended Group App but I think it only makes sense if you want...
...to dock groups on to discussions but not discussions on to groups.

Hope that makes sense?

just my 5 cents

best

Paul

Thanks for the input on this Paul but I think bookmarking isn't something manage-able in this case because that would require manual actions from the user. This thread is about filtering discussions which may be relevant to the current viewer if he is trying to filter out something quickly.
