I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

At first I thought you are using EasyBlog Tag Cloud module but seems like I was wrong . After some checking on your site, you are using a 3rd party module that will fetch any menu item on your joomla and display it in the menu. In your case you are linking the module with "Listen to music from..." and using external link menu item for that purpose.

The reason why the url is not get converted to sh404sef is because you have put a non-sh404sef url inside the menu item as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/KHl27WMPcGOn hence giving the wrong redirection on your site. I've change the url to http://www.blatantlyblunt.com/blog/tags/london.html for that "London" menu item and the redirection is working correctly now.

ok thanks for this!!! i have changed the rest of the links -

however i was wondering if you knew whether it was possible for each of the links to display posts which contain more than one tag. e.g. Los Angeles/LA shows Los Angeles AND LA not just 'los angeles'

Unfortunately it is not possible to display list of posts from two tags at once currently in EasyBlog.
