Table social_alert_map in database

Hello,
Can we safely empty the social_alert_map table that takes up space in the database?
What does this mean in EasySocial?

Hey Hazel,

This table stores the user's alert settings. By removing this, the user's preferences for alerts would be deleted from the site.
