Quick question,

  1. What are the requirements for the video feature in 1.4?
  2. How do I test/install the beta (RC)?
Hello CK,

Yes, you need the ffmpeg installed in your server.

To install Easysocial, you can just download and install it via Joomla Extension Manager. Please do not install this on your live site as this is not a stable version which can break your site.

Nick,

A suggestion, to include the video requirements when installing, as it might mislead users to thinking that they can upload videos without requiring ffmpeg.

Hi CK,

Thank you for the suggestion. We will try if we can include this into part of easysocial installation requirement later on. However some of easysocial might not even using video features in their social site so it will a little bit tricky to set this is as requirement. We will see if we can do something about this.
