Hi

So I get this when trying to upload avatar photo. (ES1.4)

The issue is AdminTools WAF rules are causing it.

I have gone into WAF Exceptions and added com_easysocial

Are there specific query strings that can be added just for this otherwise it states
"Bad Behaviour, SQLiShield, XSSShield, MUAShield, CSRFShield, RFIShield, DFIShield, UploadShield and Bad Words Filtering" will be disabled on all of ES.

To be honest we are not entirely sure how WAF from admin tools work. We never tested this before but you can try to add the following parameter inside your WAF exception,
option=com_easysocial&controller=photos

Hello, i hve the same issue with admintools,
in registration last step after users upload an avatar and hit next to finish registration they get thie 403 error :

This request is blocked by Admin Tools. Please change this message in the component's options.

i tried to add "option=com_easysocial&controller=photos" in waf exception but still have this issue,
we temporary disabled the Direct File Inclusion shield (DFIShield) in admintools

any solution to resolve it ?

I would suggest you contact the author of the respective plugin / extension.
