Switching off video side bar on a group by group basis?

Hi SI Team

I love 2.1
But have a couple of minor problems this is one of them.
I know that I can switch videos on and off for a group.
If I switch them off for a group then the group just does not have video period.

But lets say I want to display videos in a Group.
But do not want people to be able to add videos.

The idea of this group is that I the teacher post videos for the students to watch.

I do not want the students posting videos in the group.

Can we figure out a way to hide the video side bar on a group by group basis?

I tried playing with the settings as you suggested but only managed to either turn video off completely or turn them on.

Basically in the category "Study Groups" I want to be able to display videos and prevent people from posting videos in the "Study Group" category? Or in other words the way it used to be in ES 2.0.

I tried to access your group using normal user(registered/not super admin/owner) it will hide create video as you can see here http://take.ms/yaKF7. Using your account(super admin) http://take.ms/AJvxh

Please advice.

Ahhhh OK I missed that. Thanks for breaking this down for me.

All the same is it possible to get a couple of lines of code/template override that would let me hide the side bar for ALL "Groups" in the category "Study Groups"?

And
Study Groups

In the category "Study Groups" ONLY

You can find an example of one of these Groups in the Category "Study Groups" here:

I would like to remove the side bar as shown in screen shot 02 & 03

Note most of the Groups in "Study Groups" Category are only visible if you are logged in and are a member.

Can you help me with this?

I have made some customization on this files template/elegant/html/com_easysocial/videos/default/default.php and it should works fine now. Please give it a check and see how it goes.

I have bought Vanilla so I guess when that is ready I need to put this file in the same place in the Vanilla template when it ready?

Yes it is. You need to apply them on vanilla as those file are template override.
