I have a few front page stories on my home page and, when clicking on the titles, either the showcase module or the category slider appears on top. Ideally I'd like to see stories open on their own without that. I haven't been able to identify a setting that would permit the story itself to open in the parent without a slider or the home showcase, and, for that matter, can't quite figure out how other modules decide when to pop up either. Could you please advise? Thank you. Belated Eid Mubarak.
Hey Sam,

I am really sorry that delay of this reply,

Do you mean that when you click the blog title from your frontpage, the showcase module still appear on your blog entry page right?

I have tried to access in your Joomla backend but it seems like that was not working, please advise.

Either the showcase and/or the category slider might appear and it seems to be post- or category-related behavior. I just can't figure out the setting to make posts appear on their own and how to suppress or generate modules to appear alongside individual posts--module control based on category would be nice to know for advertising purposes.

Other devs in Asia can access backend with no issue, but please try different user creds attached.

Hi Sam,

I am sorry for the late reply.

Regarding your inquiry, I just can't figure out the setting to make posts appear on their own and how to suppress or generate modules to appear alongside individual posts. I have able to access your site and inspect the blogpost. And if I understand you correctly, you want to display the showcase module or/and category slider on each blogpost isn't? You can achieve this by manuver yourself to backend > Extensions > Module Manager > (module).

If this is not what you're trying to achieve, perhaps you can explain more so that we can understand you much clearer.

By the way, I have tried to access your backend, however, it seems to redirected me from https://buttonwoodpost.com to https://www.buttonwoodpost.com. Perhaps you can tell us which one is the correct url to your site? Because currently it is giving me this error: http://screencast.com/t/YejEfn0W .

Please advise.

My number one priority is to prevent the slider and showcase from appearing when an individual post is clicked actually

Hey Sam,

I don't think there's any work around for this unless you have separate menus created on the site. This way, you configure the module to only appear on your home page.

Thank you. That's a shame. The showcase is beautiful, but it takes up too much space to be on every post.

I may have identified the issue; first, I think updating EB loses the default EB editor option; that may be why you get the same puzzled questions from everyone about blocks and such.

Next, I noticed that articles that were created by the default Joomla editor did not display the Showcase module. When I created an article with the EB editor, the showcase appears. Weird.

The difficulty you had accessing my site may be related to you using the most current browser; one that prohibits SSLv3. I changed settings on my end and hope this works.

May i know which default EB editor option are you referring?

I have tried create 2 test blog post using Easyblog composer and Joomla default editor, both post also displayed on Easyblog showcase module, check my screenshot below. (I already temporary disabled this 2 test post from backend)
Perhaps you can provide us more detail which post is not show on showcase module? because it would be good for us investigate on this issue quickly.

Yes, I have never had an issue with causing a featured post to appear in the showcase module. The issue is whether or not the showcase module appears when the user clicks on an article on either the home page or the showcase. My intention has been to have the article appear on a page without a (distracting, I think) showcase mod with it.

1. Could it be possible that, on updating EB, EB reverts to the Joomla default editor instead of the EB composer, and;
2. Though I can't imagine how, could this, an updating, or the editor choice, be related to whether a post appears on its own when the title is clicked?

I will continue to test this myself and advise.

Thank you!

Hey Sam,

I am sorry that delay of this reply,

Yes, I have never had an issue with causing a featured post to appear in the showcase module. The issue is whether or not the showcase module appears when the user clicks on an article on either the home page or the showcase. My intention has been to have the article appear on a page without a (distracting, I think) showcase mod with it.

I have help you create a hidden menu item for "Easyblog frontpage menu item", so when you click on the blog title, it will not appear that showcase on your blog entry page.

1. Could it be possible that, on updating EB, EB reverts to the Joomla default editor instead of the EB composer, and;

Do you mean this settings ( http://screencast.com/t/cEeGFdvtK1 ) or when you edit your older post?

2. Though I can't imagine how, could this, an updating, or the editor choice, be related to whether a post appears on its own or with the slider or showcase when the title is clicked?

I have a little bit lost here, can you elaborate more detail regarding this question?
