We are using the component as a press release submission system, which means the person posting may be posting in reference to an alternate location. That means we can't use the author's location to generate the google map. Any suggestions on an alternative to this challenge? I was thinking about asking the author for a zip code as a custom field, and then editing the map module to somehow use the zip code as the map marker, but I have no idea if that will work or if it is the best approach. Any suggestions?
Hey Brent,

Hm, not really sure if I got you correctly here. Do you mean the location for each postings? You can actually search for a location when you click on the "Add Location" button on the toolbar. You don't really have to physically be at the location. Take a look at my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/m0gwbWgBmMo

Thanks, Mark. I misunderstood the setting, thinking that it had to be autodetected. This is perfect - great feature!

Thanks for the offer, but we aren't migrating quite yet on that component. I want to in the future, but right now we are stuck with JomSocial.

If you all built an awesome job board, that would unstick me! haha But really I have to migrate from my current one before I can move the rest of my site forward.
