Hey there,

problems getting more and more. New problem is that suddenly a stream entry went up to the top which is 5 months old, though I have set to archive entries older than 3 months. Strange thing is, there is a comment, that is not shown always. Sometimes the comment is there, sometimes it is not. The member told me, she did not made this comment to this entry, so the comment went wrong somehow.

You can see between the 5 month old and the comment by Karen is sometimes appearing another comment that should not be there, though the whole entry should not be there since archiving after 3 months is activated...
Hi Sabih,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue, I've checked your site and it seems like the issue somehow related to comments from the stream. I noticed one of the comment was made to a photo stream but somehow the system updated the last update date in the wrong stream. I've logged a report into our issue tracker and we will need to further investigate this issue.

Strange thing is, there is a comment, that is not shown always. Sometimes the comment is there, sometimes it is not.

Regarding the above, I've added a fix on your site and now the comments is showing correctly (this fix is not for the archive issue).

And for the archiving issue, I've check the database and it seems like this stream did not get archived into the history table. Did you just setup your cron recently? This is because each time the cron execute, it only archive 5 stream activities. And, if you have alot of stream to archive, it take time to complete all the stream activities and somehow during the process, one of the old stream that pending for achiving, got updated due to actions like Likes, Comments and etc. This is just my wild guess. Nevertheless, I will keep my eyes on this issue.

If you want, I can help you to archive this stream manually.

Please advise.

Hi Sam,

thank you very much for taking so much time to look at this problem.

Did you just setup your cron recently?

The cronjob was working, but referring to these threads:
http://stackideas.com/forums/cronjob-leads-to-404
http://stackideas.com/forums/uploaded-s3-images-not-shown-after-cronjob

It stopped working some time ago and I have no idea why. Maybe it was a problem to delete the content of the photos folder: http://stackideas.com/forums/safe-to-delete-photos-folder-after-s3-upload
I did not delete the whole content but left like 4-5 folders which were the newest. I have no idea if there is a connection between these things, I just try to replicate the last made steps.

If you want, I can help you to archive this stream manually.

That is a very nice offer and I appreciate it, but no need to spend time into this when the cronjob can do the work afterwards.

When running the cron via http://zazeni.de/index.php?option=com_easysocial&cron=1 , it seems like it is working correctly.

How is your current cronjob configured? Is the archiving working correctly if you manually access the cron?

xxx.de/index.php?option=com_easysocial&cron=true

That is the configured cronjob. I can not access cronjobs manually on my server. The hoster is setting the crons I tell them.

When I look at the stream from the backend I see the most recent archived entries are from nov 2015.

Manually access the cron, what do you mean by that? When I execute the cron, which is switched off for the moment, all images uploaded since the last cron make errors. That is why I am not executing the cron at the moment.

Hi Sabih,

What we mean is you can actually execute the cron manually by enter the cron url from your browser location bar. e.g. xxx.de/index.php?option=com_easysocial&cron=true

The idea is the same like how your server cron execute the cron command

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hi Sam,

the cron is working and at the backend stream I can see more and more stream entries are archived after each cron. So I think this is working. Thank you so much!
