Hi,

First of all, sorry for my bad Englisch, but i try to explane my problem.

I have been using easyblog for a few weeks now and so far it does exactly what I want.
However, I would only like to keep abbonees up to date if they have registered on a certain blog category. Now it is the case that someone signs up for the entire blog site, signing up and therefore automatically sending a mail when a blog is posted somewhere and not just in the category to which they are "subscribed."

There is not a log in to see the blogs, I just want to be able to organize the notification by category, how can I best do this?
Thanks in advance for your cooperation and hope to hear from you soon.

greetings from the Netherlands,
Oscar van Hees
Hi there,

Correct me if i am wrong. Based on what i understand, you only want to send notification/emails only for users/guest that subscribe to categories only and not for site wide subscriber. If yes, you can try to disable this settings https://take.ms/HCqiQ and see how it goes.

If i understand you wrongly, can you explain more, maybe provide us with more images/attachment so that we can understand them better.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer. I have tried your solution and I also thought that this was the correct setting, but I cannot assign the abbonees to a certain category. (see the attachment).

Hi there,

Currently, we cannot re-assign them subscribers(from site wide to category). You will need to either re-subscribe them or manually subscribe them accordingly.

By the way, options mentioned are for notifications only and not re-assigning them currently.

Thank you for your answer. Indeed, I wanted to know how it was possible that someone was informed about a blog's placement in a different category. When checking, I discovered that the people are registered as "entire site". Now it appears that I have to re-enter these people, no problem, but where do I indicate for which category they are registering? In the front-end, visitors can register themselves, they cannot choose a category there and they therefore register as standard for the entire site. In the back-end I can also add people, but again I cannot make a selection for which category. Hopefully you can help me on the right track?

Hi there,

You are using module for users to subscribe them, you can set those module to this settings https://take.ms/9Thoz accordingly. Can you give it a try and see how it goes? You will need to let users access your categories first in order for them to be able to subscribe.
