I attempted to activate subscribing to a blog via email. I have, what I believe to be, all the settings in place to allow an anonymous user to subscribe (see attached EasyBlog-Settings-Subscriptions.png). I have also attempted this with all settings for types of subscriptions (entry subscriptions, blogger subscriptions, etc) set to Yes. I continue to get the message "You do not have the permission to subscribe to this blog" (see attached EasyBlog-Guest-Result.png).

What do I need to change to enable this feature?
ACL Settings showing the Public role with "Blog Subscriptions" set to Yes.

Hello Peter,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Please make sure that the option "Allow non members to subscribe" in backend -> Easyblog -> Workflow -> Subscriptions is set to YES. If it already is please send me your backend and FTP so that I can check this out. Please advice.

Thanks!

Hello Peter,

If you are on Joomla 3.2, also ensure that you have saved the settings under Users > Options as there is a bug in Joomla 3.2 where the public group is not initialized by default.

The attached screen shot to my original message shows that it is.

Attached is an admin user and password you can use to access the EasyBlog information.

Hello Peter,

Can you please try the steps recommended on my post above? I was able to login to your site but due to insufficient access, I cannot access the User Options page.

I am on Joomla 3.2 and I can attempt it, but you'll need to give me a little better directions. If I go to the "Users" menu in Joomla 3.2 administration, there is not "Options" item to click. What are you attempting to have me set? Something in EasyBlog or something in Joomla?

All the permissions for users is under System > Global Configuration (and I can access the EasyBlog section from there).

It looks like you wanted me to go:

1. ClickSystem > Global Configuration
2. Click Users Manager
3. Click Save

Once I did that, the group was initialized and I was able to attempt subscribing from a public account without registering. Were those the steps you were trying to get me to follow in Joomla 3.2?
