Hello,

One of our subscribers has informed us that they received a 404 error when clicking on the link in an email notification they got for our newest blog post. The URL took them here: centimark.com/entry/congratulations-you-have-successfully-installed-easyblog instead of linking to the page for the blog post, here: http://www.centimark.com/centimark-blog/entry/48-years-of-roofing-and-flooring-excellence

When hovering over the "view post" button in the email it displays the correct URL in the address bar, after clicking it redirects to the Easy Blog Installation page.

Assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you
Hey Janine,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

Can I have your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

By the way, in the future you can just include your site's access once at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site rather than needing to keep adding them in your replies .

Hey Janine,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

May i know what blog URL format you expected?

Because I noticed you have used 3rd party SEF component (mijoSEF) in your site, and the Easyblog frontpage menu item (CentiMark Blog (Alias: centimark-blog)) is actually parent with "About" menu item.

By default Joomla router will build the URL to be http://www.site.com/about/centimark-blog/, but now it seems like this 3rd party component skip that "About" URL alias from the blog post URL so causing this issue.

May i know do you have any custom SEF URL in MijoSEF component? If no, can I have permission to purge all the SEF URL from this component?

We do have custom SEF URL's in MijoSEF, so we would not want to lose all of them. If you could just delete the ones related to the blog for now, that would be okay. Could you provide us with screenshots on how to purge the SEF URLs?

Thank you!

Hey Janine,

I've checked in your site again, it seems like you have only 1 custom SEF URL in MijoSEF extension right?

If yes, perhaps you can click 'Clean cache' button and see is it can purge all the SEF URL from MijoSEF extension? because I am not really familiar with this extension.

Keep us update if you purge all the SEF URL from mijoSEF extension because I would like to check after regenerate the SEF URL for the Easyblog is it show correct or not.

We have purged Custom SEF URL in your screenshot but we are unable to purge all SEF URL's from the MijSEF extension as we have customizations in there.

Since you already mentioned that you unable to purge all the SEF URL from your MIjoSEF extension.

I would like to prove that Easyblog itself do not have this notification URL issue.

Currently I have temporary disable with your 3rd party SEF extension from your site, then I create a test post called ""this is test post please ignore"" , try check my attached first screenshot this test post already notified to your site 2 admin account, can you check your mailbox and click that "view post" button from email content is it go to correct page?

If everything is show correctly, you have to consult with your MijoSEF extension developer regarding this issue.
