Send subscription confirmation email is enabled, but no email is sent to subscriber. New subscriber notification email is sent to administrators. I've only created an HTML override for template.php file.

Latest versions on all software:
Joomla 3.8.8
EasyBlog 5.2.5
PHP 7.1.17

Thanks, Richard
It seems like that is bug, I already applied some fix in this file /public_html/administrator/components/com_easyblog/tables/subscriptions.php , it should work fine now.

By the way, if you would like to make that subscription confirmation type to double opt-in, you have to enabled GDPR setting from backend setting.

Double opt-in mean when the user subscribe on your site, system will send one subscription confirmation email to this subscriber, then they have to click that verification link from the email, after that this user only can subscribe on your site.

Hi, I'm having the same problem with no email coming through for the subscriber to confirm. The 2 settings are enabled - 'Send Subscription Confirmation' and 'Enable GDPR'. There seems to be a very long delay for the email to come through or it is never sent at all.

You can try download my attached file and replace into this JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easyblog/tables/subscriptions.php and see how it goes.

If the issue still persists, can you start a new thread on our forum and update your site backend and FTP access so we can better have a check?

Many thanks

This is probably coming from your blog title. You can change this under the settings, http://take.ms/u74Kq

Thanks, I don't know if I'm thick here, I can't see the title and description in the general settings. I've attached a screen shot. Is this the only General section?

Ah, you need to enable the "Display Blog Headers", and make the change and then hide it again.
