I upgraded to Joomla 4.2.2 Friday.

This morning, when creating my daily vulnerability post (https://www.cndltd.com/cnd-news/vulnerability-blog), when I selected Submit for Approval -> Submit for Approval, instead of being returned to the summary of my posts with a note that it was submitted, it simply returns to the Untitled Post window with "Select a template" and there are no pending posts.

I don't see any errors in the access log or error log that could explain this. I did the latest update to 6.0.8, but the behavior did not change.

I had to create the blog post in the administration section, to which other posters do not have access.
Hey there,

It seems that when I was trying to login onto your backend, it gave me the following error:

Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Also, can you provide us with FTP access so that we can have a better check at it if needed?

Hi,

I had copied production to development, and your id wasn't in prod.

I have re-added your id to the development site, cnd.dgiss.co.uk

There is no FTP access, if you need to see a specific file, please let me know.

Hey there,

It seems that once I disabled Use URL Rewriting setting from the backend's Global Configurations then the issue does not occur anymore.

We suspect your apache server's htaccess configuration is incorrect. Can you consult with your web hosting provider regarding this and see how it goes?

We are the hosting provider, I'll take a look. I don't have problems elsewhere, and the config has been there for a while without issue. perhaps there's something with Joomla 4 that needs adjusting, but we haven't had any other problems.

Another thing we noticed is if we create a blog post from the backend, the blog creation process is working fine as well. This can prove that this issue definitely related to how you set up the rewrite URL on your Apache server side.

Keep us updated if you have found any clue for this issue.
