I am running Joomla 3.2.4 and the most current version of EasyBlog.
I have created the following category setup.
Parent - SubCategory - Another SubCategory which is a parent of the previous SubCategory... so for example.
Parent is "A" (as in the letter A)... The SubCategory would be Music Group which is a child of "A"... and the next SubCategory of that would be Album which is a child of the previous SubCategory. So there is a hierarchy in play. This is a music site... where people will be searching by First letter... which will show a list of groups, each their own sub category... and then you pick one of those which will then show the albums.

What I want is people select A from the Main Navigation Menu (I have it setup as a Single Category Layout link)... hoping it shows JUST the bands (or sub categories) whose parent is the category "A". The problem is when you select "A"... it shows all of the Subcategories of "A" in there... ie. all the music groups but ALSO shows all of the albums too... so basically it shows ALL the subcatories in A and all the subcategories of the Music Group too... so, is there a way to limit the subcategory depth to just 1 level deep?
Hello Mike Grohowski,

This isn't really an issue per se... ie. not a technical problem - just wondering how you limit subcategory depth when setting up a menu....
ie. Say the hierarchy is:
Main Category
Sub CategoryA
Sub CategoryB
Sub CategoryC

So each one is a child the one above it. ie. Sub CategoryC is a child and it's parent is Sub Category B and so on and so forth.

And I setup a single category Menu item that points to say SubCategoryA.... and I only want it to show the subcategories thate are in SubCatagory B but not from SubCategoryC... ie. just 1 level deep... how would I do that.

I am not authorized to give out the back end... and for something like this - I would think you could just tell me. No screenshot really needed - I think this is pretty straightforward. How do I show a category or subcategory and it's contents just 1 level deep...

Hello Mike Grohowski,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have tried to reproduce on this category structure, check my attachment screenshot is it similar with your category structure?
If yes, that was no setting to configure this for only show until 1 level deep
