Hello:

We just set EasyDiscuss up for our client. They like it better that Kunena. Thank you. However, there are a couple things we are having difficulties with.
1. Subcategories with no discussion are showing. We are allowing for showing sub-categories in the Forum View of Layout. However, we have the setting "Show Categories With Empty Posts" set to no and we have unpublished the sub-categories. They are still showing.

2. How do I remove the "Resolved" notations in posts?

Somehow, I am certain we are missing something but appreciate your assistance.
For the Q&A system, if the icon does not disappear after you disable the setting, you can head into the post and mark it as unresolved.

Hello Meyer,
1. I checked your easydiscuss forums page and the layout seems to be respecting the settings that you chose from the backend(http://take.ms/H6n70). I do not see empty subcategories showing there. Let me know if I'm missing something here.
2. How do I remove the "Resolved" notations in posts?
I'm not really getting what you are referring to here. Do you mean you want to remove the "Resolved" system completely? Or just the resolved icon in the post entry page?
Can you provide us a screenshot so that we can better understand what you meant by "Resolved" notations? Thanks.

Hello Raymond:

Thank you. Here are three screenshots. Note that the subcategories highlighted in the forum-screenshot show they are published, but in the backend, we have them unpublished.

Regarding the Resolved icon, we do not want to use these or any other such as "Pending" etc. I can style these out but thought perhaps there was a place I could turn off.

Hey Meyer,
Unfortunately, for the categories page, there is no setting to hide empty categories. Perhaps you can use the forums page instead because only categories containing posts will be visible there(http://take.ms/gLSX3).

For Resolved icon, you can actually turn off the system to that posts would not be treated as a Q&A system, meaning no 'resolved' or other question related status.
Settings>General Features>Questions & Answers>Enable Q & A>No
