Hi there,

In the backend I have set 'Show all subcategories' to No but they still show up in the frontend. Is this a known bug or do you need login details of my development site to check?

Regards,
Ewoud
Hello Ewoud,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Yes, is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue? Please advise.

Hello Ewoud,

I had Toggle categories to no in your backend > easydiscuss > settings > layout > categories and the sub category is not displayed anymore.

Thanks:)

Hi Khairul,

Thanks for that!

As you perhaps have seen on my site, I am using the Navigation module to also show the categories. That module still shows the sub-categories. Is it possible to not show the sub-categories there as well? The module itself does not have much settings that can be changed.

Regards,
Ewoud

Hello Ewoud,

It appears to be a bug, I had applied fixes in your files,
JOOMLA\components\com_easydiscuss\models\categories.php
JOOMLA\components\com_easydiscuss\themes\simplistic\categories.php
This fix will be available in the next update.

Thanks:)

Hello Ewoud,

Glad to fix the issue, the fix was quite tricky for me though.

Have a nice day and thanks

Hi Khairul,

I am not sure if it is also a bug, but on this forum when you click for example EasyDiscuss, you get to see the sub-categories just below the main categories. I do not get to see that on my site. Playing with the settings didn't make me find the right setting.

Also, there is a breadcrumb below the categories. I cannot find a setting for that either.

Ewoud

Hello Ewoud,

It is not a bug, the theme you saw in our page is our own custom theme and we won't be releasing it to public.

Thanks:)
