Strict standard issues in Easyblog

Hey guys,

I just want to inform you about a few strict-stanard notices in Easyblog and its modules.

Here they are (if the notice points to our template folder, please check the same file in the module):

Strict Standards: Declaration of EasyBlogTable::bind() should be compatible with that of JTable::bind() in JOOMLA/administrator/components/com_easyblog/tables/table.php on line 30

Strict Standards: Non-static method modEasyBlogCategoriesHelper::getCategories() should not be called statically in JOOMLA/modules/mod_easyblogcategories/mod_easyblogcategories.php on line 35

Strict Standards: Non-static method modEasyBlogCategoriesHelper::getChildCategories() should not be called statically in JOOMLA/modules/mod_easyblogcategories/helper.php on line 138

I have configure your site and now the listed notices are gone.
Can you check it for me is there anymore issue with Strict Standards? If there is, can you point me to the error page?

Hi,

I was also encountering issues on one of your classes here modLatestBlogsHelper::getLatestPost I think this is also caused by the same issue where can I get the updates you were mentioning?

Hello.
Yesterday my hoster decidde to update php to 5.4.25 and I began experiencing problems with EasyBlog.
First of all I updated EasyBlog to 3.9.15278 but this doesn't fix issues.

Here is a list of issues:
Strict Standards: Non-static method modEasyBlogCategoriesHelper::accessNestedCategories() should not be called statically in /home/kmor/public_html/modules/mod_easyblogcategories/tmpl/default.php on line 18

Strict Standards: Non-static method modEasyBlogWelcomeHelper::getLoginStatus() should not be called statically in /home/kmor/public_html/modules/mod_easyblogwelcome/mod_easyblogwelcome.php on line 30

Strict Standards: Non-static method modEasyBlogWelcomeHelper::getReturnURL() should not be called statically in /home/kmor/public_html/modules/mod_easyblogwelcome/mod_easyblogwelcome.php on line 31

Strict Standards: Non-static method modEasyBlogWelcomeHelper::_getMenuItemId() should not be called statically in /home/kmor/public_html/modules/mod_easyblogwelcome/mod_easyblogwelcome.php on line 35

Please review and advise how to fix these issues.

Hello Pavlo,

Hm, it looks like those modules are outdated as we had already updated them to address "Strict standard error reporting" issues. Can you try updating them to the latest version?

Hi Mark.
I already updated mod_easyblogcategories but issue is the same.
Regarding mod_easyblogwelcome - it's not available in http://stackideas.com/downloads/modules/easyblog

As current workaround I disable "Strict standard error reporting" in .htaccess
