Not sure if I was dazing off or not, but I cannot find a way to turn off stream activity for Article updates. Now whenever there is even a slight edit to an article, it posts in the stream, and when I am creating a new article, with lots of edits, there are lots of posts in the stream that are basically identical.

Where are the settings to turn off streaming information for article edits/updates?

Thanks
Thanks for updating Joe, glad that your issues are resolved now

Hi,

You can set this under EasyBlog -> Settings -> Integrations -> EasySocial -> Updated Blog Post.

Hi,

Sorry but that is not it, this is not a blog post on EasyBlog, it is a Joomla article. I tried doing as you suggested but it makes no differences, every edit of an article, even if it is just 1 character added or removed, posts to the feed.

Hello Joe,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. You can disable updates from posting into the stream by editing the content plugin "Content - EasySocial". You just need to disable the option "Update Stream".

I have recently been seeing article edits showing up in the EasySocial stream, and the Content - EasySocial Update Stream option is still set to off. Can you take a look please.

Hello Joe,

Hm, I tried to edit and save an article but it doesn't appear on the stream. Not too sure how to reproduce this. Can you please advise?

I just visited my site, and saw this:

http://screencast.com/t/0G9FK9TRt

So I came here. I can see you have updated an article in my stream.

EDIT: My bad, but I did see an article being updated after I you had read an article. Still I just go into an article, either in the backend or from the edit icon, and it appears in the stream.

Hm sorry but I don't quite get you here. When I login to the back end to edit an article, I don't seem to see any items on the stream stating that I edited the article. Am I missing anything here?

I just edited an article, and this appears on the stream /community page and on my Dashboard.

Since the Content plugin for EasySocial is most definitely set to OFF, there should not be an update appearing in EasySocial.

I do notice that your Super User account is also Registered, whereas mine is just Super User, maybe that is causing this?

Hm, this is odd. Can you please provide me with your account so that I can test with your account? By the way, where are you editing the article from?

Sure, I have attached the details.

It happens if I edit from the backend or the frontend.

There's actually a bug in the way the "content plugin" is checking against the param but it looks like you are using an older version of the plugin. Hence, you were still hitting this issue. Upgrading to plugin to the latest version seems to fix things up
