Stream post notification link leads to 404 page instead of login form

I have a closed group. When someone posts to the stream of that group, its members get the email notification... but if they click the link in it they get taken to a 404 Page if they aren't already logged in....

I'm guessing this is a little bug and it should route them to a login form if they aren't logged in? Can you please check / confirm?

COM_EASYSOCIAL_STREAM_PRIVACY_NOT_ALLOWED_DESC="Sorry, but you are not allowed to view this content due to the insufficient privileges, or because of privacy concerns, or because of unavailable content, or you do not login to the site."

Here I attached to you a fix, please download it and put it in your site here: ...\components\com_easysocial\views\stream\view.html.php . Please give this a try and see if this resolves the issue.

...could you consider this simplification for the core build....

You may need to login to see this content. It could also be restricted by privacy settings or may have been made unavailable for viewing for other reasons.

Is it still necessary to upload the fixed file as attached to this forum post as a fix to this issue? We are also having the issue of a 404 page if the user is not logged in.... not great!

What is the current fix for this?

Hi Andrew,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I will consult with my colleague regarding this and get back to you on Monday.

Because this fix is not included in current version 1.3.25 yet.

By the way, can you download my attachment file and replace in this file -> JoomlaFolder\components\com_easysocial\views\stream\view.html.php

And see how it goes?

We have provided the fix as it is as per the file on our local repository. Kindly please understand that we do not provide support for any modifications or hacks made on the files.

If you are still having issues with this, please wait for the next release of EasySocial as we will be releasing a minor fix shortly which addresses these teething issues.

Hello Andrew,

We have supplied the files in this thread to the thread starter and it fixes his issue. Therefore, the files that we share here would work. If it doesn't work or if you do not believe that this is correct file, I think you should wait for the next release

I am not really sure what else do you need. We have provided the patches here If every customer requests us to perform a file comparison of their files, then it might as well be we don't release a new version to address these issues

Hello Andrew,

The file that my colleague, arlex provided is located at the /components/com_easysocial/views/stream/view.html.php while the file that you attached is from the /components/com_easysocial/views/dashboard/view.html.php and both of the file is completely not the same. I believe you've going at the wrong folder path

I hope this can shed some light on your confusion.
