I've set Stream/General/Content/Truncate/Content to a value (the default I think) but whole articles are showing up in ES. How do I get ES to truncate properly? ES is under main menu "COMMUNITY".
Hi John,

Please assign your domain to your license to obtain for support. You can do so by accessing your license area at http://stackideas.com/dashboard

Once you are done, update us here and we'll continue checking your issue.

Sorry, I was going by this: NOTE: If you are installing the extension on a staging or test site, you do not need to add them. I have now assigned it.

Hey John,

Thanks for updating your license. Some stream items are inheriting truncation settings on the app itself. In your case, since it is an article, you need to edit the article app at the back end of EasySocial and define the truncation settings there.

Each stream items represents an app and different app has different ways to output the stream contents. For instance, sharing a link has it's own contents, sharing videos has different contents. We can't have a single place for configuring this because the truncation works differently across apps.

By the way, we now require users to enter the domain regardless if it is a staging or testing site because we just did a random survey of users and it seems like many of these web agencies are abusing our support. They purchased a pro version but requested support for more than a dozen of different domains.

How come some links dont truncate even when you set it to such.

Such as - https://realitybloger.wordpress.com/2016/01/18/geo-engineering-controlled-chaos-via-predictive-programming/

when posting this link it seems to post the entire contents of that page to the stream in the snippet.

Hey Julz,

Looks like this site has an "oembed" tag and it's telling sites to use this content instead. We do not truncate "oembed" content because it could be a video player.
