I just recognized that this might be something useful but missing. It is possible to see own stream items but not stream items a user commented.
I tried to do this on my own but I have to admit that I was not able to do it. My thought was to copy anything related to bookmark and name the copy to bookmark2. Remove the bookmark2 buttons and then auto-bookmark2 an item when sending a comment.
But I found bookmark function on so many places that I was lost so I hope you might be thinking it is a cool feature to have as well.
