You can turn off activity stream of easydiscuss items by going to your backend > easydiscuss > settings > integrations > easysocial > activity stream, http://screencast.com/t/kdxBiV1qs .

Thank you for your reply. The issue with this is that I do not want to complete turn of easy discuss activity from my stream, I just want the information which is in user specific topics not to show up in the stream for people who are not part of the group.

Example: I have created a joomla user group called staff.

I have created a forum category called staff and only staff can see it within the easy discuss environment. Regular users have no access and can't see this category at all. This part is working correctly.

Issue: Acivity from these private forums is showing up in the easysocial stream for users that are not part of the Staff group.

Unfortunately it is not possible to make integrate the stream privacy with easydiscuss privacy currently. However I will forward this to our developers so they can try to add this feature in the next future release of easydiscuss.
