i *do not* think it's a easyblog issue from the testing i've done but i'm stumped and looking for pointers and posting in a few places.

http://www.renegaderadio.net - the other day i started getting
"joomla Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:The MySQL adapter "mysqli" is not available"

in research this was being moved to php 7.0 and modules not all being 7.0 happy. we backed down to SQL 5.6 and had to rename the php.ini in my overall root directory and the site came back up. removed older plugins and cleared cache and went back to php 7.0 and all seemed ok so i left it there.

now - here's what's happening i first noticed in doing an article today

input / format article. save it. under php 7 i get INTERNAL ERROR 500 and the white screen of death. however, the article saves.

move back to php 5.6 and i get the white screen of death, no txt (even in debug mode) and the article saves.

now - using the FB share buttons on the bottom - it opens up FB and wants to share my generic pic but *NO META INFO AT ALL OR ARTICLE PIC* is pulled. click the generic post and you do route to the article, it's just useless as no one knows what it is or what it's about as the title doesn't show, the meta info or tags don't show. nothing.

post a direct link to the story - same thing.

use an article i wrote in the joomla system itself - same thing (means easy blog NOT the issue i know)

i *think* this could be something going on at the hoster and php info but while they look i thought i'd just ask if anyone there has an idea of why it's doing this or what i should be looking at. again i know not an easy blog issue but hoping you've seen this before and can point a path to check.

you can check by going to any article and trying to share it to FB and you'll see nothing come up.

thanks so much for any help you can provide!

jerry
ok - i reforced it to scrape again on the chester main story and the error i get from facebook is:

The 'fb:app_id' property should be explicitly provided, Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog.

other info on the tags:

Based on the raw tags, we constructed the following Open Graph properties
og:url http://renegaderadio.net/index.php/social-articles/main-blog-page/music-news-interviews-and-reviews/Music%20News%20Interviews%20Reviews/linkin-park-hybrid-theory-17-years-later
og:type article
og:title Linkin Park / Chester Bennington - Hybrid Theory 17 Years Later
og:description Looking back on the mans music and the demons that followed his career with him in his music

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0" />
<meta name="keywords" content="chester bennington, linkin park, hybrid theory, suicide prevention" />
<meta name="description" content="Looking back on the mans music and the demons that followed his career with him in his music" />
<meta name="generator" content="Joomla! - Open Source Content Management" />
<meta property="og:image" content="http://renegaderadio.net/images/easyblog_articles/243/b2ap3_large_chester.jpg" />
<meta property="og:title" content="Linkin Park / Chester Bennington - Hybrid Theory 17 Years Later" />
<meta property="og:description" content="Looking back on the mans music and the demons that followed his career with him in his music" />
<meta property="og:type" content="article" />
<meta property="og:url" content="http://renegaderadio.net/index.php/social-articles/main-blog-page/music-news-interviews-and-reviews/Music%20News%20Interviews%20Reviews/linkin-park-hybrid-theory-17-years-later" />
<meta property="og:image" content="https://www.renegaderadio.net/images/house/facebook1.png" />

it *is now* pulling up the meta info but *not* the picture. i may have a stray plugin doing this i need to disable if easyblog does it on it's own.

Hey Jerry,

May i know the whole issue is when you trying to share a blog post to Facebook, it didn't retrieve the blog content/image correctly?

If yes, is it you manage to solve this?

The 'fb:app_id' property should be explicitly provided, Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog.

By the way, regarding this Facebook show this warning is because you didn't set your Facebook user profile id and app id from Easyblog backend setting, you can check my attached screenshot below.

To find your Facebook user profile id, you can use this online tool -> https://findmyfbid.com/
