Hello,
In EasySocial there are 4 dates references related to a blog post
1. The creation date
2. The publishing date
3. The modification date
4. The stream activity date

For this specific matter I would like to find a way to make the activity stream date to match the blog publishing date.
Is there a query or any other way to achieve this?

Stream example:

USER1 created a new blog post 1 day ago (stream date)
___BLOG POST TITLE___
CATEGORY 1 monday, 01 July 2019 (publishing or creation date)
Hi Supporter,

The stream activity date for EasyBlog's stream items cannot be changed once the stream item is created.

The setting which I mentioned in the other thread, Settings>Integrations>EasySocial>Stream>Post Date Source, will also take effect on stream activity date, but only for new created stream items(meaning newly created blog posts).

If you edit the date of an existing blog post(eg publish date), the timestamp/date of previously created stream items(relating to this blog post) in EasySocial will not be modified. Instead, your newly edited date will reflect on the newly created 'updated a blog post' stream item.
Is there a query or any other way to achieve this?
I mentioned that this cannot be changed once the stream items were already created. But if you really want to, you can modify the stream items data in the stream table(database).

I will need to delete all actives in the stream after the site test is complete.
It is like if an administrator deleted all these by mistake..
would it be possible to regenerate "past activities" like blog and discussions?

Hey Supporter,

If past stream items associated with the blog post/discussions are deleted, unfortunately those activities will not be generated back. Only new activities, or migrated posts(see EasySocial migrator section) will generate creation stream items(with the necessary settings enabled).

in the Migrators:
EasyBlog Streams

The migrator will be able to migrate new blog posts and comments that was created prior to the installation of EasySocial. This migration service will generate a new stream activity for new blog posts and comments.

Is it safe to test this tool and possibly regenerate the stream?
... or will this work only after the very first initial install of ES?

Hey Supporter,

I just tested this and unfortunately I discovered a fatal error in the migration process.

Also, I found that the migrator always use the blog creation date for the stream activity date(does not follow EasySocial integration setting in EB).

I will log these issues in our tracker so we can address this.

Once the issues above are fixed, the 'blog creation' stream will be generated even if they have been previously deleted.

You're most welcome Supporter.

A little note, the new blog creation stream items(with new date according to EB integration setting) will be generated by the migrator even if those stream items already exist.

To ensure there are no duplicate blog creation stream items, remember to delete all existing blog creation stream items before you run the migrator. You may try this on your staging site first to get the hang of it.
