Should I change the Photo Storage Path and the Avatar Storage Path within the root directory, would the database update the links automatically for now on and with retroactive effect?

If you are using CDN/S3, the link will automatically get updated to use the url from CDN/S3 instead of your server directory. So you don't need to change the path within your server root directory.

Same question should I move files (JS, CSS, Images) to CDN or Amazon S3.

CDN are widely used to store the JS,CSS, images and other kind of files into their server while Amazon S3 are widely used to store the images and uploaded files. If you want to store your js and css file you can use CDN. If you want to store your images, you can use Amazon S3.

The s3 will be trigger using the easysocial cronjobs.
