I have two custom user groups setup for our reception people, one for the higher up people.

The higher up people need the option to Edit and Delete posts, but we do not want others to be able to edit or delete.

When I go into ACL and into the user group, there don't seem to be any options for Edit or Deleting posts!

There's an option for deleting their OWN posts, and an option for deleting CATEGORIES, but I can't find options for Editing or Deleting posts in general.

Am I looking in the wrong place here?
Hello Glencoe Glen,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Oh, I think i misunderstanding in your first post,
Because I thought you're asking is it have to control the user can't edit/delete their own blog post, by default we should not do that, because the blog system should be able to allow the user edit/delete their blog post.

Based on your explanation, actually you can disable this option from your backend > Easyblog > ACL > Select your user group > Moderate All Entries In Dashboard -NO, so the user only have their own permission to edit/delete their blog post.

Hope this help.

Hello Glencoe Glen,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Unfortunately that was no option for this in current system
May i know which user group you wouldn't want them to edit and delete blog post?

Also, is it possible provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you test on this? Please advise.

Seriously? There is no option for stopping people from Editing or Deleting?

All or nothing? This seems VERY short sighted. I'm kind of shocked that nobody else has brought this up.

As mentioned, we have employees that are allowed to post, but we don't want them editing anything or deleting anything whenever they feel like it. They can edit or delete their own posts, but they should not be able to modify or delete others.

I am using custom user groups. If the functionality isn't there, backend access won't really change that...
