Stop some stream items from being posted?

Hi.
Is there a way that a site admin can stop the posting of some automatic stream items? For example, I'd quite like to stop the following:

  • {actor} Updated their profile
  • {actor} Just registered on the site

I've looked through the system settings and cannot find it.

Scratch that last request! I found the one place I didn't look - under Applications -> Profiles. Found the switch to turn it off in there.
