If you set new user account activation to none at joomla, the new user is automatically activated but the new user is not yet approve to be the member of the easy social page. Therefore the admin still needs to approve the user in order for them to join the easy social page.

You may set the user registration setting in your joomla backend > components > easy social > profile type > registered user > registration > registration type as shown in this screenshot http://screencast.com/t/jt57GDkgH .
