AS u can see in the attachment, we are still getting no image when a sobipro park link is shared.

Seen on our homepage

please advise
Hi Colin,

I tried sharing that link and the image displays: http://take.ms/t2VND

Am I missing something here?

I would like to ask, for the stream item with the issue, when you pasted the link into the link story form, did the image preview show? http://take.ms/3ayN2

Yes, strange that that worked and not the ones on the stream now. 3 of them done by the same user. It was not added by me, so I do not know why those didn't work.

I just tried to share this link and the thumbnail did not show: screenshot
https://www.ehcanadatravel.com/ontario/travel-stories/6036-snowtubing-at-ski-snow-valley.html

If i edit the post without the image is shows the broken thumb link as https://www.ehcanadatravel.com/media/com_easysocial/cache/links/1

What do you think?

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I just tried to share this link and the thumbnail did not show: screenshot
https://www.ehcanadatravel.com/ontario/travel-stories/6036-snowtubing-at-ski-snow-valley.html

The reason why it didn't populate the image when you share in Easysocial is because this article page doesn't have provided og:image tag so the system unable to detect there got any image on this article.

If i edit the post without the image is shows the broken thumb link as https://www.ehcanadatravel.com/media/com_easysocial/cache/links/1

May i know how to replicate this broken thumb link on your site?

Hey Arlex!

Very strange. Today i added the same park links that did not work before and they worked fine. Whihc makes me believe it could be some sort of cache issue? Perhaps because nginx cache is set the refresh the cache every 15 minutes, then the images do not get included until the cache is refreshed? Your thoughts?

Hey Colin,

To be honestly, i never use nginx cache before, so I was unable to confirm that is related with this nginx cache or not.

Based on what i see, that thumb image link shouldn't show this path https://www.ehcanadatravel.com/media/com_easysocial/cache/links/15 , it should show something like https://www.ehcanadatravel.com/media/com_easysocial/cache/links/5fa82e77a9fa21184b340425de9a4f14.png .

By the way, keep us update if you still having this issue, and provide us with that stream URL.

The stream url is our homepage. https://www.ehcanadatravel.com/

Hey Arlex!
You should try nginx, it's amazingly fast.
OG tags are good, but still have the same issue with images. Broken when link first added, after park is added. Then latter editing the post and re-adding the link works fine. Looking into the nginx issue. Could it be anything else?

Thanks for suggested Colin.

Do you mean when you trying to share this link https://www.ehcanadatravel.com/ in Easysocial, then it didn't show the thumb image properly in the stream item?

If yes, it seems that thumb image show correct for me, you can check my attached screenshot below.

If no, can you provide us step by step how to replicate this so I can better have a check.

This has been resolved. Due to my stupidity not realizing that the link was posted to the ES stream by Joocial. Which was not including the image. I have disabled that function, as it was redundant.
