Just migrated my site to a dedicated server - but I'm still getting occassional full page crashes with messages like this one I just got:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 37748736 bytes) in /home/thvmnzgr/public_html/administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/filecache/filecache.php on line 180

Is there anything I can do about this? A page refresh normally cures it.
Hi Andy,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Look like we've missed out the fixes on our changelog but we did added some fixes to address this issue in version 3.1.5. If you already upgraded to version 3.1.5, then you no longer need to purge the SEF cache from time to time

Hope this help and have a nice day

Update - Things seem to be getting worse - my live site page loads are crashing more or less 50% of the time now

Hi Andy,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue, I suspect the SEF cache file is too large and causing the memory exhausted issue when system attempt to load the file. I've temporary purge your SEF cache from EasySocial backend and at the same time, we are working on a fix to address this issue. For now if you encounter this issue again, what you can do is to purge the SEF cache from EasySocial backend SEF Urls page.

We will release another version very soon.

I apologise for the inconvenient that have caused to you.

Thanks for understanding Andy, we are working on getting a patch for this out as soon as we can. This is one of the reason why we need more people to beta test, because there are just too many factors involved when we start optimizing our codes

Fully understand. Thanks Mark. Yes I'm going to get back into any future beta testing - last time around I didn't have a duplicate version of my site available for 'testing' - but am working to create one for exactly that purpose going forwards.

Thanks for 3.1.5 today! I checked the changelog but didn't see anything specific on the SEF URL caching issue - should I continue to purge them from my site regularly to stop the crashing for the time being - or shall I leave it alone now and see if everything is resolved?

You are most welcome Andy. We believe this latest update should address all the teething issues with the URL but if you do still encounter any teething issues with it, please do start a new ticket and we'll look into it.
