Hello
we just acquired the Easydiscuss professional licence for our website.
The issue is we need a step by step introduction or tutorial on how to use the plugin to build a simple forum
We believe this will go a long way to help us understand the basics of the tool/plugin.
This is very urgent and we need it as soon as possible
thank you
Hi Wong

Now my cron job is also solved and working. Bluehost has the wget at /usr/bin/wget rather than /bin/wget

Thanks for the support. Will get back to you:) if anything

Hello RITSOFT,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I'm very apologize that, because that is our mistake, just missing a styles file. You can download that attachment file and put it to your JoomlaFolder/media/foundry/2.1/ , If the error still exist, can you provide us your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you fix it at here?
Actually you can read this ( http://stackideas.com/docs/easydiscuss ), some of that configuration already list down, if you have face some issues or do not know what is that feature, you can ask us at here.

Best Regards

After setting up the cron job, do i need any other setting for the subscription emails notifications to work?

I also want to restrict the Ask a Question button to a specific group of users. How do I go about this.

Again I will be greatful i get a document that explains in details all the configurations of easy discuss, since the documentation at http://stackideas.com/docs/easydiscuss is more general and introductory.

Hello RITSOFT,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Yes, no need set anything if you already set the cron job successfully. But you need to set which email notification option you want send to your user from backend > EasyDiscuss > Settings > Notification.

Do you mean you would like to set some specific group of users can "Ask a Question" right? You can go to backend > EasyDiscuss > Setting > ACL > Select which group you don't want to allow their ask a question > Add New Question "NO"

Yup, that document is good.

Hope this help.

Thanks for the reply. my "Ask a Question " question is solved

But my email notifications still does not work, My host provider is bluehost. with the cron job command , do I have to used the command : /bin/wget -O /dev/null "http://stackideas.com/index.php?option=com_easydiscuss&task=cron"; verbatim or I should replace the stackideas address i see it the command with the address of my domain.

Really need to get this email notification working. its a huge milestone:(

Hello RITSOFT,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Thanks for updated your issues resolved. May i ask you something about your Bluehost setting of cron job?
Do you mean that it works this command on your Bluehost right?
>> /usr/bin/wget -O /dev/null "http://stackideas.com/index.php?option=com_easydiscuss&task=cron";
Okay, keep update us then.

Best Regards

Yes with Bluehost , i found out that the wget is at /usr/bin/wget rather than /bin/wget. so the command i used in the cron job is:

/usr/bin/wget -O /dev/null "http://nesconghana.com/index.php?option=com_easydiscuss&task=cron"
