Start page of esmobile template

Hey there,

I have installed the esmobile template and the start page looks a bit weird for me. You can see on the screenshot that the lock and home icon are not at the place they should be. Additionally the screen is blank and I have no idea where to set what is shown there. Could you please advice how to set a start screen for that template?

You can see this on my dev site. After login the icons are placed the right way.

Sorry for the delay of this reply, wasn't feeling well the past couple of days. Ah we don't have module positions on this mobile template currently but we will add 2 positions before and after rendering the component so that you could also include modules in the template if you want to.

Hello Sabih,

Hm, this is strange as the icons are appearing fine for us on our mobile devices (ios and android). By the way, what did you configure to appear for your home page eh?

From what I can see here, the home seems to be blank as there aren't any output from the component. Are you configuring modules to appear on the home page?

Hm, this is strange as the icons are appearing fine for us on our mobile devices (ios and android).


I have tested it with a OnePlus One and an Elephone P9000 Lite. Both have the symbols like the screenshot above. On a Xiaomi MiPad 2 everything seems to be working. All tested with Chrome browser.

Are you configuring modules to appear on the home page?


Okay, got it. Gantry 5 was causing this. Gantry is not working with the classic module positioning system. Is there a module position which could be used for the esmobile template?

I hope you are better now. Thank you for your reply and the module positions will make it easy to have modules on mobile only.

Thanks Sabih, still recovering but it's much better now. I have already logged in a ticket in our issue tracker and we'll add this in the next update. I will try to get the next release out before next year
