Hi, I am a bit confused about sidebar and timeline as a start item.

I have toggled the Profile Default Start Item between About and Timeline, but there is no difference when I click the Home button or when I log in... it always display timeline...

And BTW, when it displays the timeline, it never shows the sidebar... How can I always show the sidebar?

You may refer to the attached screenshot on what the Profile Default Start Item setting does.

There is no sidebar in the main EasySocial dashboard, but if you want to place modules there on the left side, you can use the module position es-dashboard-aside.

Noted on the first question.

As for the second one, I guess it only works if I am using one of your templates, right?
I am using RocketTheme now... So I guess no chance to get anything shown on the sidebar only for the home page.

In other words... I can show a module on the left of the frame, but then it's always there... I can't conditionally turn it off for example when users click on Pages

The position works even if you use other templates.

The position is from EasySocial itself, not from the template. So as long as EasySocial dashboard loads, the position will be there.

Hey Stefano,
how about the other positions?
Do you mean what other positions are available?

If you turn on the Preview Module Positions in template options, you can see what positions are available on a particular page(attached).

I see that the sidebar disappear on mobile, instead of wrapping below the main content... any way to do that?

Hey Stefano,

The es-dashboard-aside position is not available on mobile view. As such, if you want to show the modules on mobile, you have to create similar modules but assign them to mobile specific positions.

Thanks for your reply... but the positions for desktop and for phone are the same... so I cannot selectively show and hide modules depending on the media... What I set for desktop would show up for mobile and viceversa, except for aside position... all the rest are matching.

Hey Stefano,

May I know where or which part of the page you would like to place the module on mobile view?

That is true for module positions from EasySocial.

Below are the methods you can use to show modules on mobile only.
1. Check your template and see if it has a mobile only position on the page.
2. If there are no mobile-only positions from both EasySocial and your template, then you can use custom css(by checking the screen resolution) to hide the module on desktop.
