Can Easyblog handle special charcters in SEO links? Because it doesn't seem to be handling the Swedish ÅÄÖ very well right now or maybe there is something wrong with my configuration. Here is a example of a not so good link:

Hello Erik,

It actually does handle the link correctly and the reason that you are seeing the characters like %A5 is simply because they are UTF-8 encoded and it's converted to the respective html entity. If you view it on the browser, it should display correctly.

Can't it instead convert Å to A? Is %A5 really SEO friendly?

Hello Erik,

It's actually encoded when you copy the URL and the browser is doing this. If you don't believe me, try to copy the url from http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%C3%A5

I see what you mean now. But Internet Explorer 11 still display the %A5 in the URL.

How does the URL http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%C3%A5 display on IE11? I think this is probably some limitation with IE11?

It displays exactly as it does in this forum, with the %C3%A5

I believe then it's a hiccup in Microsoft Internet Explorer as there's nothing else we can do about this unfortunately.
