Hello,

We believe the special characters contained in the Easydiscuss email subject line is causing email notifications to end up in users spam/junk emails. (We have noticed that for gmail). Our serve administrator has asked us to take this up with stakeideas.

Please note, we don’t experience this issue with EasySocial notifications (for example, new messages email notifications and other EasySocial notifications are delivered to a user’s inbox just fine).

Can you advise how this special characters which appears on all EasyDiscuss email notifications can be removed from the subject?

Thank you
You can try to override the following language constants from your site backend > Extension > language > override and see how it goes?

COM_EASYDISCUSS_NEW_REPLY_ADDED="[#%1$s]: %2$s (Reply)"

After you save already then this only affects when the system generated a new reply email notification.

You're most welcome.

Perhaps you can keep us update on whether that email notification is it no longer land in the spam folder after you remove that special character?
