Hi,

Our blog is being repeatedly attacked by SPAMMers, please can you clarify exactly what setting should be made in the ACL to ensure that only trusted users can post / publish on the site.

Many thanks

Simon
Hello Simon,

You can restrict other user from posting to your site using the ACL. I believe you have allowed Registration in your Joomla User configuration here: http://screencast.com/t/oRnfXK4e4P . Meaning, anyone can register on your site and if this usergroup: http://screencast.com/t/aC2dSv7i9wK is allowed to publish a post in Easyblog ACL, you will get a lot of spammers.

To prevent this, you might want to change that usergroup to temporary group (that doesn't has permission to publish blog in Easyblog ACL) which needs your moderation before you allow them to be in Registered usergroup.
