URGENT: Spam in EasyDiscuss?

Hello Team,

I did not go often on our Discussion Forums ... but I just see SPAM and fake creation of Forum.

Are you aware of this kind of attack??

Hi Henri,

Since your site allows guest user to create discussion, anyone can create new discussion on your site, including spammers.

Actually EasyDiscuss have some features to prevent random users from posting discussions.

These are some of the options you can consider to use in EasyDiscuss to prevent spam:
1. Prevent guest users from creating new discussion: http://take.ms/4e6oB

2. Require moderator's approval before the post can be published: http://take.ms/6plg2

3. Implement captcha requirements to prevent bots from creating new discussions: http://take.ms/T30Lg

Hi,
We're experiencing a lot of spam at the moment as well. I've already got reCaptcha turned on and enabled for new users' first 3 posts, but it's not deterring the bots right now.
We're hesitant to moderate each post as it requires a lot more work on our end.
We might try the Askimet integration and see if that helps as well.
